Chicago had never been high on my list of travel priorities. I'm not even sure what gave me the idea to go there but I was not disappointed. I loved it's gritty vibe along with midwestern sensibility combined world class sites and experiences.
We stayed at L7 Chicago by Lotte. The views of the big city from our 8th floor room were amazing! There was even a bench seat by the window which became our favorite spot.
We did so many of the cliche tourist things:
Saw The Bean in Millennium Park and chowed down on a Chicago dog
Walked around downtown while going to and from various sites
Checked out the Museum of Ice Cream

Admired the Chicago skyline from Ohio Street Beach
Caught golden hour on the Skydeck of the Willis Tower (fka Sears Tower)
Ate deep dish pizza at Giordano's with a Cubs game on the tv (unintentional bonus!)
And were back at our hotel window seat at bedtime checking out the nightlife scenery
