Just can’t stay away from them hills!

This time around I took some meandering dirt roads on the way to and from Chase County State Park to check out a waterfall I’ve been seeing so much about lately. It was a little anticlimactic and busy (or at least “busy” by middle of nowhere Kansas terms) but I was just happy to see water flowing after the disappointing waterfall tour I tried to do a couple summers ago (to be fair it was the worst of drought times).

The first photo opportunity presented itself when I glanced over and saw what looked to be like buffalo in the distance. My sidekick and I skidded into a quick (and safe!) left turn to get a closer look:

After a little bit more driving we arrived to the Chase County lake up in the hills and took a short walk to the waterfall.

Taaa daaa!

By the time I got back home I was worn out by the Flint Hills and ready for my next new photographic obsession.

If you have any suggestions let me know!
